Mercedes Benz E-Class LWB to cost Rs 5.4 lakh less without passenger hyperscreen

Mercedes-Benz recently launched the sixth generation E-Class in India earlier this month. Offered exclusively in the long wheelbase format, the new E-Class LWB is priced at Rs 78.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class is available with two petrol engines and one diesel engine.

The price of the new-gen E-Class is on the higher side even though it is locally assembled in India at Mercedes’ Chakan-based facility in Pune, Maharashtra. The German marque has now devised a way to bring down the cost of the luxury saloon in the country by up to Rs 5.40 lakh.

Mercedes is offering the option of availing the E-Class without the hyperscreen for the front passenger at a discounted price. This variant of the E-Class is priced at Rs 73.25 lakh for the petrol version and Rs 76.10 lakh for the diesel version (both ex-showroom). Instead of the hyperscreen on the passenger side, this version of the E-Class gets the conventional setup with the star pattern pasted on the dashboard.
