Dhanteras Special: MG delivers 100 EVs in Delhi

JSW MG Motor India today announced the delivery of over a hundred EVs in a single day in Delhi-NCR. The company delivered over 100 units of the MG Windsor, the MG ZS EV and the MG Comet.

The MG Windsor recently created a milestone of becoming the first passenger EV in India to garner 15,176 bookings within 24 hours of the announcement. The MG Windsor has a range of 332km on a full charge and is the latest EV offering by the carmaker.

MG’s other electric vehicles include the MG ZS EV, which is powered by a 50.3kWh battery pack that offers a range of 461km, while the MG Comet, the country’s most affordable electric car is powered by a 17.3kWh battery pack that runs 230km on a full charge.

With the launch of the MG Windsor, the carmaker also launched a unique EV ownership plan through Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS), this flexible ownership program eliminates the upfront cost of the battery, enabling customers to pay only for its usage. This subscription model lowers the per-kilometre expense significantly reducing the initial acquisition cost to ensure an economical ownership experience, it is applicable throughout MG’s EV portfolio.

Under the unique Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program, the Windsor is available at Rs 9.99 lakh + battery rental @ Rs3.5/Km, MG Comet EV starts at Rs 4.99 lakh + battery rental @ Rs2.5/km, and the MG ZS EV is offered at Rs 13.99 lakh + battery rental @ Rs4.5/km.
