Mahindra Thar Roxx deliveries begin, waiting period stretches up to 2026

Mahindra launched the Thar Roxx on Independence Day this year amidst huge anticipation. With prices starting at Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the 5-door Thar is available in both rear-wheel and four-wheel drive configurations. Bookings for the body-on-frame SUV started earlier this month and clocked a massive 1.76 lakh units within the first hour.

Deliveries of the Thar Roxx have begun, however, it seems most of the customers have to wait a long time to get their hands on the Thar. It has now come to light that people willing to book the Thar Roxx may have to wait as long as eighteen months to bring it home. Which means most of the people who book the Roxx now will have to wait till 2026 to get hold of their car.

Mahindra Thar Roxx deliveries

Mahindra offers the Thar in six trims— MX1, MX3, MX5, AX3L, AX5L, and AX7L. Currently, Mahindra is only delivering the rear-wheel drive variants of Thar Roxx while deliveries for the four-wheel drive variants of the SUV will commence from 2025 onwards. Mahindra hasn’t shared the latest number of bookings for Thar Roxx but prospective buyers who have booked the vehicle have started receiving their tentative delivery date.
