Mahindra XUV.e9 fresh spy images: All we know so far

Mahindra is getting ready to charge up the electric vehicle segment in India by launching its Born Electric Vehicle, the XUV.e9. This EV SUV coupe is set to make its grand entrance in April 2025 with a lot of pomp and flair. Mahindra will also be rolling out its brand-new EV platform.

Mahindra plans to sneak in another surprise – the XUV.e8. Think of it as getting dessert before dinner! The twist? The XUV.e8 will be based on the current ICE flagship, the XUV700. Here’s all you need to know about the new XUV.e9.

Mahindra XUV.e9: What is it?

The XUV.e9 is gearing up to be the second EV coupe SUV in India, following the Tata Curvv EV. This sleek ride will roll out on the brand-new INGLO platform, an EV skateboard architecture. As for the motor setup, the jury is still out on whether it will sport twin independent motors or just one, and whether it will feature all-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive. According to reports, the XUV.e9 might offer two battery pack options: a 60 kWh and a 79 kWh, with power output of around 227 bhp and 380 Nm of torque and a range of 450 to 500 km.

Mahindra XUV.e9: Features and Price

Mahindra is set to introduce a cutting-edge digital dashboard in the XUV.e9, featuring three expansive screens: an instrument cluster, an infotainment system, and a dedicated screen for the front passenger. This innovative setup will be a first for a made-in-India electric vehicle. Similar to luxury EVs, the system will include additional apps, and the front passenger screen may have a privacy function, making it invisible to the driver. The XUV.e9 will also boast an advanced sound system developed in collaboration with AR Rahman, featuring Dolby Atmos technology.
