Tata Punch variants discontinued: Check out which ones

Tata Punch is one of the highest-selling cars in the Indian market for the past few months even outselling the likes of Maruti Swift, Dzire, and WagonR which have been the perennial mass sellers in the passenger vehicle industry. The Punch also became the first ever SUV in India to become the highest-seller for three consecutive months.

One of the reasons why Punch is one of the best-selling models in the country is the number of options available to the customers. Tata Motors offers the Punch in four broad trims namely Pure, Adventure, Accomplished Plus, and Creative Plus. In addition, there is the Camo edition available in selected trims.

The homegrown carmaker has now quietly discontinued some variants of the micro SUV. According to the company website, Tata has delisted Adventure, Adventure Rhythm, and Adventure Plus variants from the lineup. The Adventure line was earlier offered in Adventure, Adventure Rhythm, Adventure Plus, Adventure S and Adventure Plus S trim levels.

The latest development of possible discontinuation of the variants mentioned above is applicable for both petrol and CNG powertrains. Tata Motors is gearing up to launch a facelifted version of the Punch which is expected to hit the market sometime next year. It will receive a heavily revamped exterior and interior design in line with the Punch EV which was launched earlier this year.

Powering the Punch is a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 87 bhp and 115 Nm of peak torque. This motor is mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. This engine is also available with a factory-fitted CNG kit which pushes out 72.5 bhp and 103 Nm of torque, while being paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Prices of the Tata Punch start at Rs 6.13 lakh and go up to Rs 10 lakh (both prices ex-showroom).
